Overview
Senior Project Engineer at Omniforce Solutions leads design and execution of overhead transmission distribution line projects. Reports to Manager of Engineering and Design. Responsible for delivering projects on time within budget and meeting utility standards. Serves as primary technical resource for sales engineers and project managers.
What You'll Do11
- 1Lead design and review of overhead transmission distribution line projects ranging from 4kV to 345kV
- 2Provide technical oversight to engineering teams ensuring adherence to industry codes and client requirements
- 3Act as primary technical contact for utility clients and stakeholders
- 4Manage projects from concept through construction support
- 5Collaborate with clients and internal teams to deliver integrated solutions
- 6Communicate and document project progress throughout all stages
- 7Mentor junior engineers and designers in line design principles
- 8Ensure engineering deliverables meet quality standards and regulatory compliance
- 9Promote safety and risk management during project phases
- 10Support audits inspections and client reviews
- 11Drive solution development and address complex technical challenges
Requirements11
- 1Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Electrical or Civil Structural Engineering
- 28+ years of experience in Transmission and Distribution line design
- 3Strong knowledge of T&D design standards including NESC RUS IEEE ASCE and CSA
- 4Proficiency in PLS-CADD PLS-POLE and related design tools
- 5Professional Engineer license preferred
- 6Experience with large-scale capital programs and asset lifecycle management
- 7Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- 8Experience interfacing with customer technical contacts
- 9Physical stamina to sit stand and walk for extended periods
- 10Frequent use of hands and fingers to operate computers and equipment
- 11Occasional bending reaching twisting and lifting up to 20 pounds
