What You'll Do10
- 1Manage project delivery for public and investor-owned electric utilities, tracking scope, schedule, budget, and safety from kickoff to closeout.
- 2Build and execute recovery plans when projects drift from approved limits, keeping performance on target.
- 3Coordinate with Engineering Leads and managers to track and deliver client deliverables on time.
- 4Develop financial controls reports with Accounting and Project Controls, including weekly and monthly client updates, action item lists, and resource loading analysis.
- 5Present progress, costs, schedule, and risks to clients and internal leadership across a portfolio of projects.
- 6Lead communication among clients, project teams, multiple disciplines, subcontractors, and support staff.
- 7Prepare bid documents, RFP responses, and cost estimates for new work.
- 8Support marketing by drafting scope, schedule, and budget proposals.
- 9Write comprehensive technical project reports for clients and internal review.
- 10Collaborate with Accounting on monthly invoicing and accounts receivable.
Requirements8
- 15+ years managing projects in utilities or engineering consulting, with PE registration or PMP certification.
- 2Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3Proven track record in transmission line design and project delivery, including scope, schedule, and budget control.
- 4Skilled at creating and executing recovery plans to bring projects back on track.
- 5Experience with financial reporting, invoicing, and resource planning.
- 6Strong written and verbal communication for client presentations and reports.
- 7Analytical and problem-solving skills to address technical and financial challenges.
- 8Ability to travel as needed for project site visits and client meetings.
