Project Manager - Utility & Engineering
Overview
As a Project Manager at Pickett, an ESP Associates company, you will own the technical and financial success of projects for public and investor-owned electric utilities. What You'll Do10
- 1Manage multiple projects for electric utilities, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, and safety targets are met.
- 2Develop recovery plans and adjust strategies to keep projects within approved limits.
- 3Coordinate with engineering leads and managers to track and execute client deliverables.
- 4Produce weekly and monthly financial reports, including action item lists and resource loading analyses, using Excel and MS Project.
- 5Interface directly with clients to report progress, costs, and risks across the portfolio.
- 6Prepare bid documents, response to RFPs, and cost estimates.
- 7Support marketing by developing proposals, including scope, schedule, and budgets.
- 8Write comprehensive technical project reports.
- 9Work with accounting on monthly invoicing and accounts receivable.
- 10Travel occasionally to client sites and project locations.
Requirements7
- 15-10 years of related project management experience in utility or engineering consulting.
- 2PE registration or PMP certification required.
- 3Experience in transmission line design and management highly preferred.
- 4Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
- 5Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- 6Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- 7Ability to travel occasionally.
