You will own Oracle databases hosted on Exadata and Linux platforms within AWS, supporting development, test, and production environments. What You'll Do8
- 1Build and maintain Oracle databases on Exadata and AWS RDS, ensuring optimal performance and availability
- 2Design and implement database schemas and extensions to support new application features
- 3Tune complex SQL queries and PL/SQL code to resolve performance bottlenecks
- 4Lead database replication strategies using Oracle Data Guard and GoldenGate for high availability
- 5Automate routine DBA tasks using Shell scripts and Ansible to reduce manual overhead
- 6Monitor database health and capacity, forecasting storage needs for future growth
- 7Collaborate with developers to review and optimize database access patterns
- 8Troubleshoot production incidents and perform root cause analysis to prevent recurrence
Requirements8
- 15+ years as an Oracle DBA with hands-on Exadata experience
- 23+ years managing databases in AWS (RDS, EC2, S3)
- 3Expert in performance tuning: AWR, ASH, SQL Tuning Advisor
- 4Strong knowledge of Oracle Data Guard and GoldenGate replication
- 5Proficient in Shell and Python scripting for automation
- 6Experience with Ansible or similar configuration management tools
- 7Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- 8Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
