Senior Oracle Database Engineer PL/SQL, TS/SCI Clearance
Overview
Own and optimize enterprise Oracle database solutions at scale for mission-critical programs. You will develop, troubleshoot, and support SQL and PL/SQL assets, production debugging, data integration endpoints, and data feeds across multiple teams. Collaborate with developers, DBAs, application owners, business analysts, and infrastructure teams to resolve issues, improve performance, and maintain reliable Oracle databases. This role stands out for the required TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph and hands-on database engineering and production support.
What You'll Do10
- 1Debug and resolve complex SQL and PL/SQL issues across development, test, and production environments
- 2Review, rewrite, refactor, and optimize existing SQL and PL/SQL scripts to improve reliability
- 3Develop ad hoc queries and scripts for investigations, reporting, reconciliation, and data validation
- 4Maintain and enhance PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, triggers, views, and batch jobs
- 5Monitor and troubleshoot data feeds involving Oracle databases, NiFi, AWS endpoints, APIs, files, and connected applications
- 6Investigate data flow failures and coordinate resolution with database, integration, application, and infrastructure teams
- 7Perform data validation, reconciliation, and root-cause analysis for source-target discrepancies
- 8Support high-volume data processing, ETL workflows, data migration, and data-reconciliation processes
- 9Tune SQL and PL/SQL workloads for performance, scalability, and reliability
- 10Participate in database design, schema development, and database object management
Requirements10
- 1Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph
- 2Ten or more years of experience with Oracle Database including Oracle 10g to current versions
- 3Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience
- 4Advanced expertise in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL including packages, procedures, functions, triggers, views, materialized views, and dynamic SQL
- 5Experience debugging and troubleshooting complex SQL and PL/SQL in multiple environments
- 6Experience analyzing and optimizing database code for defects and performance bottlenecks
- 7Experience creating ad hoc queries for data analysis, reporting, reconciliation, and issue resolution
- 8Experience maintaining data feeds and system integrations involving Apache NiFi, AWS services and endpoints, APIs, file transfers, batch interfaces
- 9Knowledge of Oracle RAC, Data Guard, recovery, security, and environment-related issues
- 10Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
