Senior Nutritional Services Worker, Food Prep & Cashier Skills
Overview
Own food preparation and service at scale in a school cafeteria environment. You will handle cooking, baking, food safety, and cashier duties for daily meal service. Work with a team to maintain clean facilities and ensure timely meal distribution. This role blends hands-on kitchen tasks with customer service and cash handling.
What You'll Do5
- 1Build and prepare meals including baking and cooking items, cupping fruit, washing and bagging produce, and monitoring temperatures
- 2Serve and replenish food supply and assist with lunch cash handling and daily cash reports
- 3Maintain a clean cafeteria and kitchen area including sanitation, dishwashing, and waste management
- 4Set up and rotate food, utensils, napkins, and serving trays for meals
- 5Assist with inventory counts and ensure availability of utensils and serving materials
Requirements5
- 1High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience
- 2Six months of food handling, service, preparation, or cashiering experience
- 3Ability to obtain a Food Handler’s Card within 30 days of employment
- 4Basic knowledge of cooking and food preparation equipment
- 5Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical duties including lifting up to 50 pounds
