Overview
You will own daily meal preparation and service for students and staff in a FCUSD school cafeteria, handling 3.5 hours per day during the 9.5-month school year. You will operate kitchen tools and equipment, follow safety protocols, and contribute to a welcoming environment. This entry-level role offers $20.85 to $25.33 per hour and Serve Safe certification support. What You'll Do8
- 1Prepare and serve meals to students and staff using kitchen tools and equipment
- 2Operate cooking equipment and production kitchen machinery to support meal assembly
- 3Clean cafeteria and kitchen areas, including food storage and freezer spaces
- 4Stock food stations and serving lines with fresh items during peak service hours
- 5Follow food safety standards and sanitation protocols for safe food handling
- 6Assist with inventory checks and rotation of perishable goods in storage areas
- 7Collaborate with food service team to meet daily meal quotas and student needs
- 8Handle cash register and point-of-sale transactions for student purchases
Requirements8
- 1Serve Safe certification preferred
- 2Commercial food service experience preferred
- 3Ability to stand for extended periods and move 31 pounds
- 4Completion of twelfth grade or equivalent
- 5First Aid/CPR Certificate (in-person training only)
- 6Pass Department of Justice background check
- 7Negative TB test within past 60 days
- 8Complete Mandated Reporter and Sexual Harassment training
