Overview

Information Systems Solutions seeks a Senior-level Network Engineer to provide engineering and day-to-day operational support for the physical Combined Test Bed network at NIWC Pacific. The Network Engineer will integrate analyze test troubleshoot maintain and secure network devices and services. This role demands a deep understanding of network architecture routing switching and cloud connectivity.

What You'll Do8

  • 1Provide comprehensive engineering and day-to-day operational support for the physical CTB network environment including hardware software installation firmware upgrades STIG compliance and performance enhancements for routers and switches.
  • 2Monitor and analyze network performance at both physical and Internet Protocol packet levels using enterprise network management tools such as inMON Traffic Sentinel and Zabbix.
  • 3Offer on-call support to resolve network outages during non-business hours requiring on-site presence within two hours of notification.
  • 4Establish and maintain connectivity to multi-cloud environments AWS Azure0 via managing IP space VLANs route tables Virtual Private Clouds and virtual gateways.
  • 5Create test environments conduct test case reviews and assessments execute tests and report results.
  • 6Prototype install and maintain hardware infrastructure for routing distribution as well as firewall and boundary routing focusing on HPE Aruba and Palo Alto systems.
  • 7Configure manage and troubleshoot internal and external routing protocols OSPF BGP and secure tunneling mechanisms IPsec.
  • 8Implement and manage Network Access Control NAC systems including Aruba ClearPass Policy Manager 802.1x Authentication and Zero Trust architectures such as dynamic segmentation.

Requirements7

  • 1Clearance Level Secret Certifications IAT Level II including Security+ CE CySA+ GSEC SSCP and one of CCNA CCNP CCDP.
  • 2Master’s degree in computer science information technology or related field.
  • 310+ years of relevant experience with senior-level responsibilities and collaboration.
  • 4Experience with network monitoring tools like inMON Traffic Sentinel and Zabbix.
  • 5Proficiency with NAC solutions especially Aruba ClearPass Policy Manager.
  • 6Familiarity with Zero Trust network architectures such as dynamic segmentation.
  • 7Experience with AWS and Azure0 platforms.
