What You'll Do11
- 1Log all specimen entries into the computer system
- 2Generate and distribute work lists to appropriate sections
- 3Run tests under CLS supervision
- 4Schedule delivery of lab reports to clients
- 5Process specimens for reference laboratories
- 6File hard copy and duplicate reports by accession number
- 7Complete daily work lists by month end
- 8Answer phones and liaise between lab and client offices
- 9Order laboratory supplies as needed
- 10Surface clean and disinfect instruments and wash reusable glassware
- 11Maintain organized office records and equipment
Requirements10
- 1High school diploma or equivalent
- 2At least two years of college education
- 3Valid Michigan Clinical Laboratory Scientist license with ASCP certification
- 4Supervisory experience
- 5Excellent communication skills in English
- 6Proficiency in computer systems and LIS
- 7Clinical laboratory experience 1-3 years
- 8Associate degree required
- 9Minimum one year laboratory experience
- 10On-site position in Detroit Michigan
