Senior Lean Business Office Consultant
Overview
You will build and run a business system office using lean methods at CLEAResult, a leader in energy efficiency. You will own the office's daily operations, define its value stream maps, and lead Kaizen events. You will collaborate with finance, ops, and HR teams to cut waste and boost productivity. What You'll Do8
- 1Map current workflows with value stream techniques to spot bottlenecks in the first month.
- 2Lead Kaizen events that remove waste and cut cycle times in finance and operations.
- 3Build a 5S visual management system for the office's shared spaces.
- 4Run root cause analysis sessions to fix recurring process failures.
- 5Train staff on lean principles using workshops and hands-on simulations.
- 6Track KPIs like lead time and defect rates, and publish monthly trend reports.
- 7Coach cross-functional teams on A3 problem solving for new initiatives.
- 8Collaborate with the sustainability team to align process changes with carbon reduction goals.
Requirements8
- 15+ years applying lean methods in a business office or operations setting.
- 2Expert in value stream mapping, Kaizen, 5S, and root cause analysis.
- 3Led 3+ cross-functional improvement projects from scoping to results.
- 4Skilled in A3 reporting and PDCA cycles.
- 5Facilitated lean training sessions for groups of 10+ employees.
- 6Strong analytical skills with Excel and Power BI for KPI dashboards.
- 7Experience in energy or utilities sector is a plus.
- 8Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher preferred.
