Senior HR Generalist, Energy Storage & Compliance
Overview
You own HR operations for a national energy storage leader with 2,300 MW in operation and a 12,000 MW pipeline. As part of a compact team backed by BlackRock, you handle employee relations, compliance, benefits, payroll, and policy implementation across multiple states. You work directly with employees and managers in a high-growth environment, making independent decisions with sound judgment. This role stands out for its broad scope: you touch everything from onboarding to investigations to organizational effectiveness.
What You'll Do9
- 1Track and document compliance training, continuing education, and work assessments, including safety, anti-harassment, licensure, and certifications.
- 2Run background checks and eligibility verifications, then implement new hire orientation and recognition programs.
- 3Administer HR programs: compensation, benefits, leave, disciplinary matters, disputes, investigations, performance and talent management, productivity, recognition, morale, occupational health, safety, and training.
- 4Resolve employment inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, escalating complex issues to appropriate staff.
- 5Advise managers and employees on employee relations, performance management, policy interpretation, and workplace concerns, exercising discretion and escalating when needed.
- 6Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, reviewing policies and practices for audit readiness, including I-9 processes and personnel files.
- 7Support payroll processing by partnering with finance and ensuring accurate data flow.
- 8Partner with leaders on engagement, talent planning, change management, and HR program implementation.
- 9Stay current on HR trends and regulatory changes, applying new technologies and best practices.
Requirements9
- 15-10 years of human resource experience and a Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field.
- 2Extensive knowledge of Rippling HRIS and Team Tailor ATS.
- 3Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- 4Strong organizational, time management, and analytical skills with attention to detail and deadline focus.
- 5Thorough knowledge of employment laws and regulations, with experience supporting a multi-state workforce.
- 6Ability to prioritize tasks, delegate appropriately, and act with integrity and confidentiality.
- 7Proven ability to advise managers, exercise discretion, and resolve routine to moderately complex HR matters independently.
- 8Experience with HRIS, ATS, payroll, benefits, and reporting systems, using HR data to identify trends.
- 9Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related software.
