HR Administrator, Payroll & Employee Lifecycle
Overview
3+ years in HR administration and HRIS maintenance, you own the full employee lifecycle at a Houston-based asset management firm. You handle onboarding, benefits, compliance, and reporting for a team of employees, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. This role puts you at the center of HR operations, with direct exposure to Payroll, Benefits, and HRIS platforms. You will drive process improvements and support special projects, making a tangible impact on the employee experience.
What You'll Do10
- 1Manage the HR shared inbox, responding to inquiries and escalating complex issues to the right HR team member.
- 2Own the employee lifecycle: coordinate onboarding, transfers, promotions, status changes, leaves, and offboarding.
- 3Prepare and maintain employment documentation, confirming accuracy and compliance with company policies and laws.
- 4Maintain employee records in HRIS, updating demographics, job changes, compensation, and terminations.
- 5Run I-9 compliance, new hire paperwork, and system access requests for a smooth start.
- 6Process benefits enrollments, life events, and evidence of insurability submissions for employees.
- 7Verify employment and handle confidential employee requests with discretion.
- 8Process wage increases, spot bonuses, and other compensation changes in HRIS.
- 9Generate HR reports and metrics for leadership, supporting data-driven decisions.
- 10Coordinate interviews, job postings, and background checks for recruiting efforts.
Requirements8
- 13+ years in HR administration or employee services in a professional office.
- 2High School Diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's in HR or Business preferred.
- 3Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
- 4Experience with HRIS platforms and applicant tracking systems preferred.
- 5Knowledge of benefits administration, including enrollments and life events.
- 6Strong attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
- 7Valid driver's license and clean driving record for occasional travel.
- 8Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
