Senior Geospatial Machine Learning Engineer
Overview
Lead development of vegetation intelligence products using geospatial Python libraries and machine learning to drive grid resilience and climate action. This fully remote role spans the Americas and Europe and focuses on analyzing satellite imagery to identify vegetation risks.
What You'll Do5
- 1Develop new vegetation intelligence products using geospatial Python libraries machine learning and deep learning techniques
- 2Maintain and improve existing products through data exploration model optimization and debugging using QGIS Dagster Sentry and Grafana
- 3Lead projects end-to-end from planning and execution through delivery while communicating value to cross-functional stakeholders
- 4Build measurement frameworks and tooling to evaluate model performance and guide data-driven decisions about impact
- 5Collaborate with upstream data ingestion teams and downstream product delivery teams to shape platform architecture and pipelines
Requirements5
- 15+ years of experience as a Machine Learning Engineer or Data Scientist building and deploying production ML/deep learning models
- 2Proven experience building computer vision or deep learning models on satellite or aerial imagery
- 3Proficiency with geospatial Python libraries such as rasterio geopandas shapely and GDAL
- 4Eligibility to work without visa sponsorship
- 5Familiarity with Python-based ML/deep learning frameworks including PyTorch TensorFlow and scikit-learn
