Senior FX Trading System Engineer - AVP
Overview
Lead technical support for critical technology infrastructure and resolve complex issues for group clients. Develop service models to improve customer and stakeholder experiences. Execute preventative maintenance and use monitoring tools to identify and address potential issues. Maintain knowledge base and analyze logs to determine root causes. Automate monitoring and enhance capacity management. Identify service impacting risks and implement automations to maintain stability. Assist in advising decision making and influencing policy. Lead a team performing complex tasks and coach employees. Set objectives and develop others. Contribute to policy development and drive operational effectiveness.

- 1Provision of technical support for service management function to resolve complex issues for specific clients
- 2Develop support model and service offering to improve customer and stakeholder experiences
- 3Execute preventative maintenance tasks on hardware and software and utilization of monitoring tools to identify and address potential issues
- 4Maintenance of knowledge base containing detailed documentation of resolved cases
- 5Analysis of system logs and error messages to identify root causes and provide resolutions
- 6Automation, monitoring enhancements, capacity management, resiliency, business continuity management
- 7Front office specific support and stakeholder management
- 8Identification and remediation of potential service impacting risks
- 9Proactively assess support activities and implement automations to maintain stability
- 10Tune monitoring tools and alerting thresholds to ensure timely issue detection
- 11Lead a team performing complex tasks and coach employees on work objectives
Requirements10
- 1Considerable knowledge of electronic trading platforms and FX market workflows
- 2Experience supporting FIX protocol and ECN connectivity
- 3Practical experience with scripting and automation using Shell Python and Perl
- 4Solid experience supporting and managing cloud-based applications and infrastructure especially AWS
- 5Proficiency in enterprise support and monitoring tools including AutoSys ServiceFirst and ITRS Geneos
- 6Self-motivated adaptable confident collaborator
- 7Solution focused problem solver with automation mindset
- 8Excellent stakeholder management and incident management skills
- 9Ability to lead major incident bridges and drive resolution with accountability
- 10Flexible dependable willing to support extended hours and weekend coverage
