What You'll Do11
- 1Own the financial planning and reforecasting process for state and line of business accounts
- 2Deliver monthly quarterly and annual financial analyses and ratio reports
- 3Model new business opportunities and evaluate financial viability
- 4Collaborate with operational partners to build budgets and supporting schedules
- 5Support regulatory filings and data requests with detailed financial analysis
- 6Ensure SOX compliance through control design and documentation
- 7Develop financial models for strategic initiatives and ad-hoc projects
- 8Act as liaison between finance and business units for complex inquiries
- 9Drive process improvements and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- 10Establish strong relationships across finance and executive leadership
- 11Understand American Water mission vision and regulatory environment
Requirements10
- 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 2Bachelor's degree in Economics Finance Accounting or related field
- 3Advanced degree or CPA/CMA/CFA preferred
- 4Strong knowledge of US GAAP principles
- 5Proficiency in advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint
- 6Regulated utility experience preferred
- 7Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
- 8Experience with SAP and Hyperion systems
- 9Demonstrated leadership and communication skills across diverse groups
- 10Track record of delivering results under tight deadlines
