What You'll Do10

  • 1Build and perform electrical testing, inspection, and maintenance on power systems at local and regional sites to ensure reliability and safety
  • 2Design and execute test plans for circuit breakers, transformers, switchgear, motors, PTs, CCVTs, CTs, and related equipment using Megger testers, Ductor test sets, Hi-Pot, and power factor equipment
  • 3Lead field activities, document results and findings accurately for reporting and client communications
  • 4Grow technical proficiency toward NETA certification through hands-on testing, safety trainings, and certification prep groups
  • 5Drive safe operations by following established procedures, identifying hazards, and communicating issues to leads or supervisors
  • 6Travel locally and regionally to meet project needs while maintaining high safety and quality standards
  • 7Interact professionally with customers on site, presenting work performed and value delivered
  • 8Support continuous learning and team knowledge sharing through on-the-job training and formal coursework
  • 9Contribute to field safety programs and job site safety meetings with proactive safety awareness
  • 10Maintain and organize field documentation, equipment logs, and test data for audit readiness

Requirements10

  • 16+ years of experience in electrical power, utility, industrial, or related field environments
  • 2Hands-on experience with low, medium, and high voltage electrical systems and equipment
  • 3Experience with electrical testing, commissioning, or maintenance of power systems
  • 4Ability to work in the field approximately 95% of the time
  • 5Familiarity with testing equipment such as Megger testers, Ductor test sets, Hi-Pot, power factor testing equipment, and CT ratio/saturation testing equipment
  • 6Strong safety awareness and adherence to electrical safety practices
  • 7NETA certification or experience equivalent to NETA certification or strong interest in pursuing NETA accreditation
  • 8Willingness and ability to travel locally and regionally as required by projects
  • 9Willingness to work overtime typically 5–10 hours per week to meet project schedules
  • 10Prior experience in data center environments and field service for electrical power systems is a plus
