Senior Estimator, Mechanical Construction & Leadership

You will collaborate with operations, engineering, and leadership to drive profitable work at scale, across multiple office locations. What You'll Do10
- 1Build comprehensive, accurate estimates that capture scope, risk, and opportunity for complex projects
- 2Review drawings, specs, schedules, and contracts to identify gaps and risks and perform constructability reviews
- 3Lead takeoffs, pricing models, and cost summaries aligned with company standards and tools
- 4Partner with project managers, engineers, operations, and trade partners to align estimates with execution strategy
- 5Present estimates, assumptions, and bid strategies to leadership and external stakeholders with confidence
- 6Support and mentor junior estimators to elevate team capability and consistency
- 7Apply business judgment to evaluate risk, margin, and competitiveness and identify value engineering opportunities
- 8Stay current on labor trends, material pricing, market conditions, and competitor activity
- 9Lead the estimating process from pursuit through turnover ensuring clarity and accountability
- 10Utilize advanced estimating software and data to improve accuracy and efficiency
Requirements9
- 18+ years of experience in construction estimating
- 2Proven success estimating complex, multi-disciplinary projects
- 3Deep knowledge of construction trade means and methods
- 4Strong proficiency with estimating software, spreadsheets, and cost databases
- 5Experience reviewing contracts, scopes, and technical documents
- 6Ability to lead pursuits and support bid strategy discussions
- 7Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred)
- 8Ability to work in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment
- 9Excellent communication skills for executive storytelling and stakeholder engagement
