Senior Engineer Supplier Development leads supplier quality performance and continuous improvement for Rivian's chassis components. What You'll Do9
- 1Own quality performance for chassis to maintain Low-to-No Risk status
- 2Directly oversee action plans for CL2 suppliers to prevent regression
- 3Proactively identify challenges and propose specific solutions to mitigate risks
- 4Lead APQP/PPAP process for assigned parts ensuring technical compliance
- 5Define expectations and monitor supplier timelines for milestone delivery
- 6Act as technical owner for supplier industrialization and final quality sign-off
- 7Use data-driven insights to influence peer work and resolve recurring issues
- 8Drive improvements through moderate autonomy within defined scope
- 9Identify and manage personal priorities to meet area-specific milestones
Requirements8
- 1Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field with 3+ years supplier development experience
- 2Minimum 5 years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 3Strong knowledge of APQP PPAP FMEA methodologies
- 4Expertise in manufacturing techniques and supplier performance ownership
- 5Proven ability to lead supplier industrialization for stampings castings forgings welded assemblies brakes wheels tires
- 6Demonstrated success in economic and technology landscape analysis
- 7Experience with distributor communication and conflict resolution
- 8Track record of mitigating quality risks through robust problem-solving tools
