Senior Design Engineer, AI-Native Chip Design
Overview
You will own the product experience for ChipAgents, an agentic-AI platform that transforms chip design and verification. You will shape how engineers interact with AI agents across CLI, web, IDE, and desktop interfaces. Working with top semis, hyperscalers, and startups, you will translate complex workflows into intuitive, effective tools. This role blends product judgment, frontend skill, and direct customer engagement, with real ownership and a $180K–$350K base salary.
What You'll Do6
- 1Own the product experience across CLI, web, IDE, desktop, and other agent-native interfaces.
- 2Translate complex chip design workflows into clear, efficient product experiences for users.
- 3Define how users interact with AI agents, covering task creation, progress, review, approval, interruption, recovery, and failure handling.
- 4Work directly with customers and domain experts to understand workflows and identify the right problems to solve.
- 5Develop prototypes and production interfaces using React, TypeScript, and Python to validate ideas quickly.
- 6Review and influence product work across the engineering team to maintain a high quality bar.
Requirements7
- 15+ years building and shipping user-facing software.
- 2Excellent frontend skills with React and TypeScript.
- 3Exceptional product, interaction design, and information architecture judgment.
- 4Comfort making decisions under ambiguity and driving alignment without authority.
- 5Strong reasoning through complete workflows, including edge cases and failure states.
- 6Experience working directly with users and translating technical needs into product decisions.
