Generative Design Associate, AI Web Experiences
Overview
You will shape web experiences for the world's largest companies using AI systems like ChatGPT, Claude, and in-house agents. You'll work side-by-side with Agent Strategy and engineering teams in San Francisco to prompt, refine, and ship polished interfaces. This is a hands-on role for a early-career designer with exceptional visual judgment and a drive for craft. You'll translate brand systems into web-native designs, build reusable patterns, and maintain a high quality bar across devices. You'll contribute to a small, highly technical team that has driven $250M in incremental revenue for clients like OpenAI and Apple.
What You'll Do7
- 1Prompt AI systems to iterate toward the right visual direction, covering layout, hierarchy, motion, and tone.
- 2Refine AI-generated interfaces into production-quality web experiences with precise typography, spacing, and color.
- 3Review experiences across devices, breakpoints, and states to catch inconsistencies early.
- 4Translate customer brand guidelines into web experiences that feel native to each brand.
- 5Build reusable design patterns, including components, tokens, and references for agents.
- 6Partner with Agent Strategists and engineers to rapidly iterate from idea to live.
- 7Maintain a high customer quality bar ensuring everything shipped feels intentional.

- 1Exceptional attention to detail, catching subtle spacing, typography, or interaction flaws.
- 2Strong visual and UI fundamentals with a portfolio showing layout, typography, and composition.
- 3Strong web instincts: responsive design, common web patterns, and browser polish.
- 4Comfort working iteratively with multiple directions and rapid feedback.
- 5High ownership and reliability, with clear communication.
- 6Curiosity about AI-native design and evolving designer roles.
- 7On-site availability in San Francisco office.
