Senior Data Engineer MGM Resorts
Overview
The Senior Data Engineer leads technical leadership in architecture development and operational management of enterprise data platforms at MGM Resorts. This role owns design delivery of scalable production-grade data integration solutions and drives stakeholder alignment.
What You'll Do11
- 1Lead end-to-end design development deployment and support of scalable production-grade data integration solutions
- 2Create and maintain technical designs aligned with business requirements data architecture and enterprise standards
- 3Collaborate with technology leadership to evaluate new tools and best practices for platform performance
- 4Partner with product management and stakeholders to deliver data solutions meeting business objectives
- 5Build strong cross-functional relationships communicating technical solutions and driving alignment
- 6Mentor junior engineers guide architectural decisions and balance technical tradeoffs
- 7Drive operational excellence through monitoring optimization and ongoing support of data platforms
- 8Design and support scalable data pipelines lakehouse architectures and data products enabling analytics reporting AI and machine learning initiatives
- 9Develop and maintain ELT/ETL frameworks data models and governance capabilities including data quality lineage observability security and compliance
- 10Support AI machine learning generative AI and RAG solutions through scalable data engineering feature engineering and MLOps practices
- 11Implement modern engineering standards including CI/CD infrastructure as code testing monitoring and automation
Requirements8
- 18+ years delivering enterprise data integration data engineering services and data platform solutions supporting analytics reporting operational and AI-driven initiatives
- 2Design, develop and support scalable data pipelines lakehouse architectures and data products enabling analytics reporting AI and machine learning
- 3Build and optimize enterprise data platforms using Databricks Spark Delta Lake and Azure cloud services ensuring performance scalability reliability and cost efficiency
- 4Develop and maintain ELT/ETL frameworks data models and governance capabilities including data quality lineage observability security and compliance
- 5Support AI machine learning generative AI and RAG solutions through scalable data engineering feature engineering and MLOps practices
- 6Implement modern engineering standards including CI/CD Infrastructure as Code testing monitoring and automation
- 7Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to deliver data solutions aligned with enterprise objectives and strategic roadmaps
- 8Provide technical leadership through architecture reviews mentoring and promotion of engineering best practices across the organization
