What You'll Do9
- 1Own technical delivery operational excellence and engineering quality across a major product domain
- 2Define and drive technical strategy aligned with product roadmaps and long-term AI transformation goals
- 3Lead organizational and workforce planning decisions including team structure staffing levels and hiring priorities
- 4Establish and scale engineering practices and standards such as ADRs linting policies and AI-enforceable development rules
- 5Partner with Product Design and Quality Engineering to drive cross-functional strategy execution alignment and delivery effectiveness
- 6Advance AI-augmented engineering maturity by reassessing technical feasibility optimizing cost and sourcing models and identifying AI-driven opportunities
- 7Manage 2–5 engineering teams through Engineering Managers overseeing 15–50+ engineers
- 8Drive AI-enabled capacity balancing between FTEs contingent workers and automated resources
- 9Implement standards as code frameworks to encode engineering standards into enforceable AI-consumable formats
Requirements6
- 13+ years managing multiple engineering teams through Engineering Managers with responsibility for organizational delivery performance and team development
- 210+ years professional engineering experience leading complex technical systems and large-scale software delivery organizations
- 3Proven ability to lead multi-team engineering organizations driving alignment execution and operational excellence
- 4Experience in AI-era workforce planning and organizational design adapting structures for AI-augmented environments
- 5Strong capability in defining technology strategy and making investment decisions aligned with product roadmaps and business priorities
- 6Fundamental understanding of standards as code including encoding standards into machine-readable enforceable formats such as ADRs linting policies and AI-consumable rules
