You will lead strategic research initiatives that inform mid-to-long term planning for next-generation devices and services. This role drives humanity-centered innovation through deep cultural and sociocultural analysis.
What You'll Do9
- 1Plan and execute global in-field research programs leading project lifecycles from screener development to insight reports
- 2Build scalable mechanisms for collecting synthesizing and communicating strategic cultural insights on human needs and motivations
- 3Collaborate with product and design teams to translate research into next-gen capabilities device experiences and innovation pathways
- 4Help leadership define research questions that align with business strategy and long-term roadmaps
- 5Partner with Devices & Services Design teams to shape concept development and experience roadmaps
- 6Lead in-home customer interviews in Brazil and explore emerging cultural signals
- 7Create research artifacts such as screeners discussion guides and insight reports
- 8Facilitate workshops to help teams immerse in and design with surfaced insights
- 9Drive independent cultural and futures research programs focused on strategic relevance
Requirements8
- 1Portfolio demonstrating past research deliverables including study plans and reports
- 27+ years leading design research projects with measurable impact
- 3BA/BS in Anthropology Design Research Sociology Media and Cultural Studies or related field
- 4Expertise in early generative design research for digital products and services industry
- 5Experience translating insights via design principles scenarios and immersion workshops
- 6MA/MS in Anthropology Design Research Sociology Media and Cultural Studies or related field
- 7Familiarity with STEEP analysis Futures Triangle Scenario development Causal Layer Analysis
- 8Ability to independently manage multiple concurrent projects in agile environments
Salary Insight
$152 - $226k per year
