What You'll Do10
- 1Lead contract negotiations with large physician and hospital organizations, ensuring terms meet financial targets, regulatory requirements, and legal standards across all products.
- 2Direct financial analyses to build proposals, oversee contract development, and compose complete contracts including financial, legal, and operational terms.
- 3Partner with legal to align contract provisions and secure required legal language for each signed agreement.
- 4Apply knowledge of state and national regulations to draft compliant contract language.
- 5Present Point32Health's negotiation position to provider executives, using data like provider relative price and total medical expense.
- 6Negotiate multiple risk arrangements across all products, defining terms clearly for all parties.
- 7Collaborate with clinical, reporting, and quality teams to set and achieve key objectives each contract cycle.
- 8Manage negotiations to meet objectives, leveraging insight into global budget models, unit cost trend, and provider financial performance.
- 9Lead cross-functional meetings and internal workgroups to resolve contracting issues and document key decisions.
- 10Own a key negotiation tool or support function, such as sales or government affairs, at manager's discretion.
Requirements10
- 15-7 years in managed healthcare, with contract negotiation experience and familiarity with payment methodologies.
- 2Preferred 8-10 years of related work experience with a Master's degree.
- 3Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.
- 4Demonstrated presentation and influencing skills.
- 5Strong financial acumen to support contract components and analysis.
- 6Ability to independently research and resolve complex issues.
- 7Advanced analytic ability with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- 8Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- 9Strong time management to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
- 10Willingness to work under normal office conditions, from home as required, and additional hours when needed.
