Overview
Own the end-to-end life-cycle of all study-level contracts, budgets, and Investigator grants at Elligo Health Research. As department head, drive contract strategy, negotiation, and execution across customer, site, and vendor agreements to meet revenue targets. Lead a team of contract professionals, partner with Legal, Finance, and Operations, and harmonize processes across business lines. This role offers remote flexibility and high visibility with executive leadership.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and refine the contracting process for development, negotiation, and execution of all study-level contracts, including change orders and amendments.
- 2Lead complex negotiations with customers and sites, serving as primary liaison for contracting and budgeting inquiries across business lines.
- 3Oversee contract and budget prioritization to align with study start-up timelines and revenue targets set by the CFO.
- 4Review and approve financial terms in budgets and contracts, ensuring cash neutrality and alignment with financial objectives.
- 5Develop and maintain standard templates for study-level contracts and budgets, ensuring consistency across all business lines.
- 6Track and report contract metrics through dashboards in Salesforce and SharePoint, improving visibility for stakeholders.
- 7Coordinate with third-party vendors, reviewing budget quotations and overseeing vendor contracts.
- 8Lead and mentor the Contracts team, training on clinical trial agreements, Investigator grant budgets, and contract terminology.
- 9Resolve escalations and drive improvements to streamline the contract life-cycle, eliminating redundancies.
- 10Harmonize legacy processes across business lines to deliver a single, end-to-end contracting solution.
Requirements10
- 110+ years in contract management within the clinical research industry, including preparing and negotiating clinical trial contracts and budgets.
- 25+ years of direct managerial experience leading a contracts team.
- 3Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
- 4Expertise in contract negotiation with a strong focus on finance terms and cash neutrality.
- 5Proven ability to develop clinical trial budgets, including Investigator Grants.
- 6Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with Salesforce and SharePoint.
- 7Excellent drafting and negotiation skills, with acute attention to detail.
- 8Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities in a remote environment.
- 9Effective communication and relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
- 10Self-motivated and able to work independently while collaborating across teams.
