
Senior Business Analyst, IT Staffing & Federal Projects
Overview
You will own the business analysis lifecycle for enterprise clients in federal, state, and Fortune 500 sectors. Working with HonorVet Technologies, a Service Disable Veteran-Owned IT staffing firm, you'll bridge business needs and technical solutions. Your team includes project managers, developers, and QA engineers. You will drive requirements gathering, process modeling, and data analysis. What You'll Do8
- 1Lead requirements elicitation sessions with stakeholders, using SQL to analyze data and document functional specifications.
- 2Model current and future processes with BPMN and Visio, delivering clear as-is and to-be diagrams.
- 3Own user story creation and backlog grooming in Jira, ensuring sprint readiness for development teams.
- 4Drive gap analysis and impact assessments for system enhancements, coordinating with AWS and Azure architects.
- 5Facilitate UAT cycles, collaborating with QA teams to validate traceability and resolve defects.
- 6Communicate status and risks to executives, translating technical details into business terms.
- 7Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 standards in all deliverables.
- 8Ship a traceability matrix within the first 90 days, linking requirements to test cases.
Requirements7
- 15+ years in business analysis, with a focus on IT projects in government or enterprise environments.
- 23-5 years working with SQL for data extraction and analysis.
- 3Proven experience with BPMN, Visio, and Jira for process modeling and agile delivery.
- 4Strong analytical skills to define metrics, KPIs, and performance indicators.
- 5Excellent communication, able to facilitate workshops with cross-functional teams.
- 6Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, or related field; CBAP certification is a plus.
- 7Onsite presence required in Raleigh, NC for the contract duration.
