What You'll Do11

  • 1Design full-scale HVAC plumbing and fire protection systems ensuring code compliance throughout concept to construction phases
  • 2Develop proposals estimates and schedules while supporting client presentations and technical assessments
  • 3Create detailed engineering documentation using AutoCAD Revit and perform HVAC calculations for equipment selection
  • 4Size ductwork piping systems and evaluate existing installations to optimize performance
  • 5Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and attend design coordination meetings with stakeholders
  • 6Perform field inspections and communicate directly with suppliers contractors and clients
  • 7Lead small teams to deliver complex projects meeting deadlines and quality standards
  • 8Prepare schematic designs and material take-offs for various project estimate levels
  • 9Manage shop drawings and record changes while maintaining clear supplier contractor and client communication
  • 10Conduct on-site construction inspections and align design requirements with field execution
  • 11Drive continuous improvement in design processes and technical methodologies

Requirements8

  • 1Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution
  • 2Professional Engineering registration preferred with 6-10 years relevant industrial experience
  • 3Expertise in ASHRAE 90.1 IMC IECC and NFPA standards with hazardous facility design experience
  • 4Proficiency with plumbing and fire protection systems along with hazardous location classifications
  • 5Strong experience with calculation software equipment selection programs and AutoCAD Revit
  • 6Excellent communication skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams
  • 7Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite and presentation software
  • 8Commitment to safety excellence and collaborative teamwork principles
