What You'll Do8

  • 1Lead HVAC and plumbing design on multiple building projects, from load calculations to final construction documents.
  • 2Mentor a team of engineers and designers, reviewing their Revit models and Trane Trace calculations for accuracy.
  • 3Coordinate MEP systems with architectural and structural disciplines to resolve clashes and optimize space.
  • 4Present design solutions to clients and stakeholders, addressing feedback and securing approvals.
  • 5Perform site visits to verify existing conditions and support construction administration.
  • 6Develop project specifications and equipment schedules, ensuring compliance with codes and standards.
  • 7Drive quality assurance checks on drawing sets, catching errors before they reach the field.
  • 8Collaborate with the plumbing design team to integrate systems seamlessly with mechanical equipment.

Requirements7

  • 18+ years of mechanical and plumbing building design experience.
  • 2Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • 3Proven track record designing HVAC and plumbing systems for commercial or institutional buildings.
  • 4Hands-on proficiency with Revit and Trane Trace, including modeling and load analysis.
  • 5Strong leadership skills, with experience directing junior engineers and designers.
  • 6Excellent written and verbal communication, able to explain technical concepts to non-engineers.
  • 7Solid understanding of building codes, including ASHRAE and IPC standards.
