Mechanical Engineer II - HVAC & Revit | 3-5 Years
Overview
You will own complete mechanical systems design for construction projects, delivering HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection drawings that meet code and client specs. You'll coordinate with architects, contractors, and internal teams from concept through construction completion. What You'll Do9
- 1Manage project timelines and design activity communication between the design team and the client, ensuring accurate and timely updates.
- 2Produce mechanical systems design elements consistent with project specifications, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection.
- 3Design elements within project hours, scope, and parameters, using AutoCAD and Revit.
- 4Research design options that meet project requirements and constraints.
- 5Run accurate load calculations and select appropriate equipment for each project type.
- 6Create construction HVAC documents for permitting that are accurate and complete.
- 7Execute initial QA/QC process on all design deliverables.
- 8Coordinate with in-house and outside sources for project integration.
- 9Support post-design activities through construction completion, including site visits and contractor inquiries.
Requirements9
- 14-year degree in engineering required.
- 23+ years of mechanical engineering experience.
- 3Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems, equipment, and concepts.
- 4Knowledge of engineering drafting standards and company design standards.
- 5Expert knowledge of building codes and standards.
- 6Demonstrable understanding of the construction process and interpretation of construction drawings.
- 7Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- 8Proficiency in Revit.
- 9EIT certification preferred.
