Overview
Global Cyber Defense team leads proactive threat detection and response across on-premises cloud and hybrid environments. Senior Associate Offensive Security supports offensive security initiatives to identify and prioritize security weaknesses. Reports to Sr. Manager Offensive Security.
What You'll Do11
- 1Conduct offensive security testing activities including penetration tests and adversary simulation exercises across on-premises cloud and hybrid environments
- 2Support red team and purple team engagements by executing test plans collecting evidence and evaluating defensive control effectiveness
- 3Identify validate and document security weaknesses with technical details proof of concept evidence and remediation recommendations
- 4Assist translation of offensive findings into actionable improvement items for detection engineering and remediation teams
- 5Contribute to threat-informed testing by mapping observed techniques to common attacker behaviors and highlighting realistic attack paths
- 6Maintain high quality reporting standards ensuring deliverables are accurate complete and aligned to ethical testing expectations
- 7Support continuous improvement efforts for offensive security tooling automation repeatable test methods and playbooks
- 8Collaborate with cross-functional partners to coordinate testing logistics and minimize business disruption
- 9Escalate complex technical issues high-risk findings or unexpected conditions
- 10Work in assigned Pfizer office 2-3 days per week in a hybrid environment
- 11Travel as required less than five percent domestic or international
Requirements13
- 1Bachelor's degree in Information Security Computer Science Engineering or related field with at least two years of experience in offensive security penetration testing vulnerability research or security engineering
- 2Master's degree with more than zero years of experience
- 3Associate's degree with six years of experience
- 4High school diploma with eight years of relevant experience
- 5Practical experience executing penetration tests or security assessments including reconnaissance exploitation validation and reporting
- 6Strong understanding of common attack techniques and enterprise security concepts across identity endpoints networks and cloud services
- 7Ability to document technical findings and communicate risk remediation guidance to technical stakeholders
- 8Working knowledge of at least one scripting programming language commonly used for security work such as Python PowerShell or Bash
- 9Strong collaboration skills operating in a process-driven highly regulated environment
- 10Relevant certifications such as CISSP OSCP CRTO GPEN/GXPN or similar offensive security credentials
- 11Demonstrated capability supporting offensive security testing in cloud or hybrid environments
- 12Experience partnering with detection engineering SOC teams to improve detections based on offensive findings
- 13Experience working in regulated industries such as healthcare life sciences or pharmaceuticals
