Threat Remediation Lead Analyst, Cyber Defense
Overview
You will lead day-to-day threat remediation at Pfizer, owning the execution of remediation activities to protect digital assets across on-prem, cloud, and hybrid environments. Collaborating with the SOC, Cloud Services, and Engineering, you will coordinate efforts across threat detection, incident response, and vulnerability management to reduce exposure. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Threat Remediation, you will track progress, validate completion, and drive continuous improvement. This role stands out for its direct impact on regulatory compliance and security posture in a global pharmaceutical leader.
What You'll Do9
- 1Lead daily threat remediation, prioritizing and tracking identified threats to resolution within risk-based timelines.
- 2Coordinate remediation across threat detection, incident response, and vulnerability management teams to ensure consistent outcomes.
- 3Translate threat intelligence into actionable remediation plans, defining scope and timelines with technical owners.
- 4Track remediation progress, validate completion, and escalate recurring issues or systemic gaps to leadership.
- 5Partner with SOC, Cloud Services, and GRC to align remediation with regulatory requirements and business priorities.
- 6Support investigation of high-severity threats, coordinating response during active incidents.
- 7Maintain remediation metrics and status reports, highlighting risk trends and improvement opportunities.
- 8Drive process improvements to speed up remediation and reduce risk.
- 9Escalate material risks or blocked efforts to the Senior Manager with clear recommendations.
Requirements7
- 14+ years in cybersecurity with hands-on remediation, vulnerability management, or incident response, or a master's degree with 2+ years.
- 2Strong grasp of MITRE ATT&CK, incident response, and containment strategies.
- 3Expertise in vulnerability management workflows and cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- 4Familiarity with SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR, and vulnerability scanners.
- 5Ability to turn threat data into clear, actionable plans.
- 6Strong organizational and communication skills for competing priorities.
- 7Experience in agile environments with a collaborative mindset.
