Overview

Manufacturing Technicians own the assembly, testing, and repair of semiconductor equipment in a high-volume fab, supporting 18-month contract-to-hire roles at $23-$25/hr plus shift differentials. They work alongside process engineers and senior techs across cleanroom and lab environments, using SAP for work orders and test fixtures for validation. This role stands out for its hands-on troubleshooting scope and the chance to transition from contract to permanent with a global staffing leader.

What You'll Do8

  • 1Build electro-mechanical assemblies from blueprints, schematic diagrams, and wiring lists, ensuring first-pass yield on vacuum and pneumatic systems.
  • 2Troubleshoot and repair assemblies using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and leak detectors, reducing downtime on production tools.
  • 3Operate test fixtures and vacuum pumps to validate subassemblies, documenting results in SAP for traceability.
  • 4Audit incoming parts for defects and verify kits, preventing assembly delays from missing or damaged components.
  • 5Debug and improve assembly processes, collaborating with engineering on root-cause analysis.
  • 6Perform data entry on computer terminals for labor and work order progress, ensuring accurate inventory counts.
  • 7Cross-train on PCB assembly and mechanical assembly to support multiple product lines.
  • 8Comply with safety protocols in a cleanroom environment, handling chemicals and gases per MSDS.

Requirements7

  • 12-3 years of electro-mechanical assembly and testing in a manufacturing setting.
  • 2Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics.
  • 3Proven troubleshooting and repair skills on electronic and mechanical systems.
  • 4Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and data entry.
  • 5Experience with vacuum systems is required.
  • 6Semiconductor and SAP experience is a plus.
  • 7High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
