Overview
Operate production equipment to assemble electronic components in a Kansas City facility supporting global defense and aerospace projects. What You'll Do8
- 1Operate SMT placement machines and reflow ovens to meet daily production quotas.
- 2Inspect assembled boards against IPC-A-610 standards, flagging defects for rework.
- 3Maintain a clean, organized station following 5S and safety protocols.
- 4Log production data and machine downtime in the MES system.
- 5Collaborate with line leads to adjust schedules when material shortages occur.
- 6Support continuous improvement by testing new fixtures and suggesting process tweaks.
- 7Perform first-piece inspections using calipers and micrometers.
- 8Run functional tests on finished units and document results.
Requirements10
- 11+ years experience in electronics manufacturing or assembly.
- 2Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work instructions.
- 3Familiarity with basic hand tools and soldering iron.
- 4Stand for 8+ hours and lift up to 50 pounds.
- 5High school diploma or GED preferred.
- 6US Person under ITAR definition.
- 7Basic computer skills for data entry and MES navigation.
- 8Willing to work overtime and weekends as needed.
