Overview
Next 150 Construction seeks a skilled estimator to lead take-offs for concrete masonry carpentry metal framing drywall acoustical ceilings and specialty trades across multiple regions. This role supports operations and preconstruction while traveling selectively. Experience with self-perform estimating and temporary services like fencing fall protection and scaffolding is essential.
What You'll Do13
- 1Review project specifications drawings and site logistics plans
- 2Complete accurate on-screen take-offs for permanent and temporary scopes of work
- 3Interact with vendors for material and service quotes
- 4Support operations with change management
- 5Analyze results and develop strategies for future estimating improvements
- 6Build historical cost database based on project types and geography
- 7Develop and track estimates from concept through construction documents
- 8Produce clarifications and qualifications for estimates and proposals
- 9Create professional documentation for project deliverables
- 10Identify indirect costs and general condition items within estimates
- 11Establish relationships with subcontractors and suppliers
- 12Produce manpower estimates aligned with material take-offs
- 13Design estimating protocols to drive accuracy consistency and efficiency
Requirements11
- 1BS or MS degree in Engineering or Construction Management
- 22-5 years relevant experience or equivalent education and experience
- 3Strong understanding of self-perform estimating for concrete masonry carpentry metal framing drywall acoustical ceilings and specialties
- 4Basic conceptual estimating knowledge
- 5Proficiency with Procore software
- 6Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- 7Ability to work in a team-based environment
- 8Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications
- 9Knowledge of contract documents and specifications
- 10Experience with temporary services such as fencing fall protection buck-hoists and scaffolding
- 11Substance abuse test clearance required
