Security Specialist, Retail Store Safety & Loss Prevention
Overview
You will own store safety and loss prevention at a high-volume Wegmans location, reducing theft and creating a secure environment for customers and employees. You will bridge the Asset Protection team and store leadership, using CCTV systems and data analysis to guide strategy. What You'll Do7
- 1Prioritize safety in the store to create a positive shopping and working environment, using CCTV and incident response protocols.
- 2Analyze theft trends and sales data to implement loss prevention strategies that maximize sales and minimize shrink.
- 3Monitor store activity, apprehend and process shoplifters in accordance with company policy and legal standards.
- 4Foster collaborative relationships with community partners and emergency responders to enhance store security.
- 5Coordinate and manage all CCTV systems, ensuring optimal coverage and functionality.
- 6Respond to emergency situations, providing immediate support and guidance to employees and customers.
- 7Conduct internal investigations as directed by leadership, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions.
Requirements8
- 11+ years full-time experience as a sworn police officer with arrest authority in a military, municipal, county, state, or federal police agency.
- 2Valid license to carry a firearm.
- 3Valid driver's license.
- 4Conflict management and problem-solving skills.
- 5Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- 6Sound judgment and ability to manage conflict and communicate effectively under pressure.
- 7Effective communication skills and ability to maintain composure in stressful environments.
- 8Strong technical aptitude, including proficiency with Microsoft Office.
