Store Protection Specialist, Retail Loss Prevention
Overview
You will provide a visible security presence at store entrances and exits, mitigating theft and fraud while maintaining a safe environment for associates and customers. You will monitor the sales floor for suspicious behavior, enforce package inspection policies, and partner with store leadership to reduce operational shortage. What You'll Do9
- 1Greet every customer with eye contact and a smile, establishing command presence at entrances and exits.
- 2Monitor the sales floor for theft indicators and suspicious behavior, documenting and reporting to leadership.
- 3Enforce the Code 50 package inspection policy consistently and courteously.
- 4Walk the sales floor to remove clutter and ensure clear egress to emergency exits.
- 5Train and educate associates on shortage reduction initiatives and proper checkout procedures.
- 6Partner with store leadership to ensure compliance with loss prevention directives and minimize operational shortage.
- 7Wear company-issued vest and required black attire, maintaining a professional appearance at all times.
- 8Respond to external theft incidents per company policy, prioritizing safety.
- 9Participate in scheduled district meetings and educate associates on loss prevention best practices.
Requirements8
- 1High School education or equivalent required; AA degree preferred.
- 21 year retail supervisor experience or similar training preferred.
- 31 year loss prevention or security training preferred.
- 4Active Security Guard License preferred.
- 5Strong communication and customer service skills.
- 6Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with store teams.
- 7Proven ability to resolve conflict effectively.
- 8Ability to comply with federal and state laws for security positions, including background screening and fingerprinting.
