Security Officer, Live Nation Venue Operations
Overview
You'll own safety and security at The Masonic, a Live Nation venue in San Francisco, protecting patrons, employees, and assets. You'll conduct regular patrols, operate metal detector equipment, and respond to all security calls. You'll work with a team of security supervisors and venue staff, reporting to the Manager of Security. Your calm demeanor and quick thinking will keep every event safe. This role demands a current CA Guard card and the ability to handle crises with composure.
What You'll Do8
- 1Patrol the venue on a regular schedule to prevent theft, violence, or rule infractions.
- 2Operate metal detector equipment to screen patrons and employees at entry points.
- 3Respond to all security and safety calls within minutes, assessing and resolving situations.
- 4Investigate incidents and compile accurate incident reports with detail.
- 5Interact with patrons, vendors, and employees courteously, de-escalating conflicts.
- 6Adhere to all department policies, including performance, conduct, and attendance standards.
- 7Support security supervisors and the Manager of Security with legal and ethical instructions.
- 8Complete assigned tasks within set deadlines, shifting between duties without losing composure.
Requirements8
- 1High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2Current valid CA Guard card or security license.
- 3Ability to communicate effectively in English.
- 4Understanding of the rule of law and relevant penal codes.
- 51+ years in security or related field preferred.
- 6Ability to walk, stand, lift 45 lbs., reach, pull, push, grasp, and drag.
- 7Ability to perform under pressure during crises and stay composed with angry or emotional individuals.
- 8Ability to memorize, recall, and retrieve relevant information quickly.
