Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol
Overview
Security professionals needed for part time, flexible shift coverage at a technology focused site in San Jose. You will perform patrols, access control, and incident response while collaborating with a team to maintain a safe environment. This role offers consistent anchor shifts plus the option to pick up additional shifts to increase earnings. You will gain hands-on experience in a security operations setting and grow toward a full-time schedule if desired.
What You'll Do5
- 1Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors while following site policies and emergency procedures
- 2Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office spaces, common areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter
- 3Monitor access points and verify authorization for visitors, contractors, and deliveries
- 4Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and document observations
- 5Maintain daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol logs and communicate with leadership and site personnel
Requirements9
- 1Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience
- 2Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree
- 3Alarm panel experience is preferred
- 4Access control and badge experience is preferred
- 5A guard card or license is preferred
- 6Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles
- 7Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- 8Background check and drug screen required
- 9Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only
