Security Officer Area Patrol, Retail Frontline & Customer Service
Overview
Security professionals will patrol and protect client sites, ensuring safety and a welcoming environment at large retail locations. You will join a collaborative team with flexible part-time scheduling and opportunities to grow within a national security provider. This role emphasizes community impact, incident response, and visible deterrence. You’ll use smart tools to claim shifts and coordinate with site leadership to maintain security procedures.
What You'll Do5
- 1Build a visible security presence through regular patrols across sales floors, entrances, parking lots, and perimeters
- 2Respond calmly to incidents and concerns, providing professional problem-solving support to customers and staff
- 3Monitor for suspicious activity and hazards, and report observations to site management and leadership
- 4Assist with access control, opening and closing procedures, and incident documentation according to site requirements
- 5Communicate effectively with customers, employees, and visitors to maintain a safe and welcoming environment
Requirements9
- 1Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles
- 2High school diploma or equivalent
- 3Background check as required by law
- 4Drug screen where permitted by law
- 5Valid driver’s license for driving positions only
- 6Licensing requirements subject to state and local regulations
- 7Ability to pass a background investigation and comply with site requirements
- 8Must be able to work part-time day and weekend shifts
- 9Able to perform duties in a retail environment with routine foot patrols
