Scientific Program Analyst, Neuroscience & NIH Program Management
Overview
Own the program management and scientific coordination for NIH NINDS initiatives at scale within a federal research setting. Collaborate across study sections, program directors, and investigators to plan, coordinate, evaluate, and communicate program activities. Lead documentation, meetings, and stakeholder engagement to ensure milestones and deliverables are met. This role blends scientific insight with project management to accelerate translational research.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and maintain program documentation and communications to track progress against grants and contracts
- 2Organize and coordinate program activities including agendas, meetings, minutes, and background materials
- 3Plan and execute scientific meetings, workshops, and conferences with logistics and stakeholder coordination
- 4Track action items and deadlines, manage spreadsheets for grants and contracts, and provide status updates to staff
- 5Develop concept, planning, and support for all project-related activities and produce programmatic documents
- 6Draft, proofread, and finalize conference agendas, meeting materials, and reports for leadership and sponsors
- 7Represent the program at meetings and conferences, deliver presentations, and disseminate program information
- 8Coordinate with project leaders on annual meetings, teleconferences, and reviews to address key issues
- 9Maintain ongoing communication with investigators and staff to exchange information and align on milestones
- 10Develop and improve data reporting tools and databases to support program management and budgeting
Requirements10
- 1Master's degree in Neuroscience or related field
- 2Strong knowledge of NIH grants and funding mechanisms
- 3Experience supporting clinical research, human subjects protection, and grant administration
- 4Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, SharePoint, WebEx, and PubMed literature search
- 5Ability to organize complex project documentation, manage multiple activities, and track milestones and deliverables
- 6Excellent written and oral communication skills for preparing scientific and programmatic materials
- 7Experience with data analysis, literature review, and creating scientific presentations
- 8Strong attention to detail in assembling background materials and program reports
- 9Experience coordinating scientific meetings, including registration and logistics
- 10Familiarity with database tools and reporting formats for program management and budget data
