Clinical Research Program Manager, Neuroimmunology
Overview
As the Clinical Research Program/Project Manager, you will lead the operational and administrative oversight of all clinical research projects in the Department of Neuroimmunology at Mass General Brigham. You will manage a portfolio of investigator-initiated, industry-sponsored, and federally funded studies, driving them from startup through closeout in a complex academic medical center. Directly supporting the Principal Investigator, you will supervise Clinical Research Coordinators, manage budgets, coordinate multicenter trials with NIH and FDA, and ensure strict compliance with regulatory standards. This role offers the chance to shape program strategy and mentor staff while working at the forefront of neurological research.
What You'll Do9
- 1Supervise all study staff, including hiring, training, and performance management of Clinical Research Coordinators.
- 2Write and maintain operations manuals and standard operating procedures for the research program.
- 3Prepare and manage Case Report Forms (CRFs) and oversee data management for all studies.
- 4Coordinate multi-center trials with sponsors, NIH, FDA, and private foundations, serving as the key liaison.
- 5Drive study startup and patient recruitment, developing advertising strategies and expediting approval timelines.
- 6Oversee budget management and subcontracts with associated institutions, ensuring fiscal compliance.
- 7Report study progress at investigator meetings and to sponsors, ensuring transparent communication.
- 8Develop and implement process improvements to enhance research efficiency and program growth.
- 9Support grant development and operational planning to expand the research portfolio.
Requirements8
- 15-7 years of research-related experience, with 1-2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
- 2Bachelor's degree in a related field required; Master's degree preferred.
- 3Proven ability to make independent, effective decisions in a research setting.
- 4Strong organizational and communication skills, with experience presenting to diverse stakeholders.
- 5Demonstrated ability to supervise and train staff effectively.
- 6Strong database management and computer skills, including proficiency with clinical research software.
- 7Analytical skills to solve complex problems and drive process improvements.
- 8Strong budget management skills, with experience overseeing research finances.
