Overview
The School Registered Nurse (RN) provides health services to facilitate optimal physical, mental, emotional, and social development for students at Center Grove Community School Corporation. Working onsite at Walnut Grove Elementary School, you will care for students with chronic health issues, administer medications, and offer emotional support. You will collaborate with school staff and families to promote healthy habits and ensure a safe learning environment. What You'll Do8
- 1Provide direct nursing care to students with chronic health conditions, including medication administration and emergency response.
- 2Conduct health assessments and screenings to identify student health needs and refer to appropriate levels of care.
- 3Develop and implement individualized health plans (IHPs) for students with specific medical needs.
- 4Educate students, families, and school staff on health topics and healthy habits.
- 5Maintain accurate health records and documentation in compliance with state regulations.
- 6Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and healthcare providers to support student health and learning.
- 7Participate in school health team meetings and contribute to health-related policy development.
- 8Manage communicable disease prevention and control within the school setting.
Requirements6
- 1Graduate of an accredited school of nursing: NLN, CCNE, ACEN, or NLN CNEA.
- 2Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid license to practice in Indiana as listed in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
- 32+ years of nursing experience required.
- 42+ years of experience working with pediatric patients required.
- 5Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
- 6Compassionate, caring, accountable, and self-directed.
