What You'll Do7
- 1Serve as an essential member of the school team providing health service delivery to students, overseeing health education, and medical management
- 2Maintain student health files including physicals, vaccination records, emergency forms, and dental records
- 3Supervise Certified Medication Technicians and administer medications with proper documentation
- 4Evaluate and assess children during behavioral crises requiring restraints or therapeutic interventions
- 5Collaborate with school psychiatrists and write timely notes and reports
- 6Provide professional development to staff on health plans and expertise areas
- 7Work at both Brooklyn Campus and Transformation Academy locations
Requirements5
- 1Graduate of an accredited nursing school with diploma associate degree or bachelor of science in nursing
- 2Minimum three years post-training experience in school nursing services
- 3Current Maryland RN license without restrictions
- 4Certified or eligible for CPR/First Aid certification
- 5Strong communication and teamwork skills
