School Custodian
Overview
The School Custodian will maintain clean and safe facilities while collaborating with staff and students. This role ensures adherence to high cleanliness standards and provides exceptional service.
What You'll Do9
- 1Perform janitorial and cleaning tasks within assigned areas to meet quality standards and safety guidelines
- 2Use protective gear during all cleaning functions
- 3Complete cleaning assignments on schedule
- 4Report equipment and cleaning product needs or malfunctions to supervisors
- 5Dust mop and damp mop floors in various areas including classrooms and common spaces
- 6Clean and sanitize bathrooms classrooms and common areas
- 7Remove trash empty wastebaskets and perform related duties as assigned
- 8Respond promptly to paging system alerts and customer requests
- 9Follow infection control and universal precautions to maintain a sanitary environment
Requirements10
- 1High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 2Previous custodial janitorial experience in a school setting preferred
- 3Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- 4Willingness to perform routine tasks consistently
- 5Must be punctual and reliable for scheduled shifts
- 6Ability to stand and walk for 6-8 hours daily
- 7Must be able to lift/carry and push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds
- 8Must be able to work around food and cleaning products
- 9Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies as required by state local and/or customers
- 10Must provide a criminal background check
