SBA Portfolio Coordinator, Commercial Lending
Overview
You will own the health and performance of an SBA lending portfolio, monitoring loan compliance and mitigating risk across $16 billion in assets. Working closely with the SBA Portfolio Manager and Business Development Officers, you will analyze financials, track covenants, and ensure documentation is current. Your work directly supports lending teams in identifying risks early and maintaining a strong portfolio. What You'll Do10
- 1Analyze and investigate credit and financial data for existing SBA loan customers, identifying red flags and trends.
- 2Track and monitor financial information for new, renewed, and existing loans, ensuring timely updates.
- 3Monitor loan covenants and loan terms to confirm ongoing compliance, flagging any breaches.
- 4Establish, review, and maintain loan files and portfolio monitoring systems, keeping records audit-ready.
- 5Manage portfolio priorities, including reporting issues, maturities, delinquencies, and loan performance.
- 6Partner with Business Development Officers to collect outstanding financial documents and information.
- 7Provide technical and advisory support to Business Development Officers on loan structures and requirements.
- 8Identify and address portfolio maintenance and customer service needs, escalating when necessary.
- 9Ensure compliance with company policies, credit policies, auditing procedures, and government regulations.
- 10Support department goals and contribute to the overall quality and performance of the SBA portfolio.
Requirements10
- 14+ years in lending, portfolio management, commercial lending, or commercial real estate.
- 2Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3Strong analytical skills with a solid grasp of financial accounting principles.
- 4Proven ability to spread and analyze financial statements, cash flows, and tax returns for businesses and individuals.
- 5Understanding of company formation structures and how to identify borrowing entities and guarantor relationships.
- 6Working knowledge of portfolio management priorities: reporting issues, concentrations, maturities, delinquencies, loan performance, covenant monitoring, and risk ratings.
- 7Clear communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build strong relationships.
- 8Organized and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- 9Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access.
- 10Understanding of federal and state laws and regulations related to commercial lending.
