Commercial Relationship Specialist, Banking Support
Overview
You will own daily support for Commercial Banking clients, managing loan workflows, renewals, and servicing requests at a major regional bank. You report to one or more Relationship Managers and collaborate with Credit Products, Treasury Management, and other internal teams. This role centers on Microsoft Office proficiency and banking operations, offering a clear path to grow within Regions. You will also mentor new associates and ensure data integrity across OneView and RGA systems.
What You'll Do10
- 1Manage daily client support, acting as the first point of contact for all servicing requests and keeping Relationship Managers informed.
- 2Coordinate weekly workflow meetings with Relationship Managers to review renewals, pipeline items, and past due reports.
- 3Prepare and deliver key reports including 360 Report, Weekly Sales Report, OneView Pipeline Report, and Maturities.
- 4Drive credit application workflow from collecting financials to closing, ensuring all documentation meets channel requirements.
- 5Oversee post-closing requirements, including tickler items and exception citing, with no delays.
- 6Track loan maturity pipeline to ensure renewals are approved and closed on time.
- 7Collaborate with Credit Products and Commercial Team on underwriting and loan fulfillment, managing due diligence from the field.
- 8Support sales functions by preparing marketing materials, client presentations, and prospect files.
- 9Open new deposit products and partner with Treasury Management to onboard clients and provide ongoing guidance.
- 10Maintain data integrity across OneView and RGA, updating contact info, merging records, and managing pipeline reports.
Requirements7
- 1Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of banking or client support experience, or High School Diploma and 3+ years of general banking experience.
- 2Advanced verbal and written communication skills, with ability to partner across the organization.
- 3Strong research and data analysis skills to derive facts and make decisions.
- 4Proven work ethic and self-motivation in a fast-paced environment.
- 5Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- 6Experience supporting specialized segments like GIB, SBA, AG, or Capital Markets is a plus.
- 7Ability to mentor new associates and lead by example.
