Overview
Own the design, routing, and build of satellite harnesses for Pulsar, the world's most advanced PNT infrastructure in Low Earth Orbit. Collaborate with avionics, mechanical, and GNC teams to deliver reliable, manufacturable cable assemblies. Coordinate with contract manufacturers, develop test harnesses, and drive hardware troubleshooting. This hands-on role shapes a critical subsystem of a cutting-edge space platform.
What You'll Do7
- 1Own the design, cable routing, and build of satellite harnesses, ensuring compliance with IPC and MIL-STD standards.
- 2Work with electrical and mechanical engineers to create harness drawings and interpret PCBA schematics.
- 3Define processes and select components to deliver reliable, manufacturable solutions that survive mission life.
- 4Coordinate harness builds with contract manufacturers, aligning to the program schedule and design requirements.
- 5Track, design, and build test harnesses for DVT, environmental, and subsystem debug setups.
- 6Develop and maintain work instructions, connector mate logs, and test logs.
- 7Support hardware troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
Requirements7
- 1BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
- 22+ years experience in electrical harness design.
- 3Ability to read and interpret PCBA schematics, technical drawings, and test procedures.
- 4Experience using harness test equipment such as multimeters and Hipot testers, and building test fixtures.
- 5Familiarity with Windows PC operating systems.
- 6Clear verbal and written communication in English.
- 7Desired: experience with spaceflight hardware, spacecraft environmental testing, cleanrooms, and aerospace documentation standards.
Salary Insight
$130 - $180k per year
