What You'll Do11
- 1Design and develop electrical harness systems for spacecraft including connector and backshell selection
- 2Generate wiring diagrams and pinout tables based on spacecraft interconnect diagrams
- 3Collaborate with systems engineering to interpret architecture and define electrical interfaces
- 4Create and maintain Bills of Materials using Capital Essentials NX and Teamcenter
- 5Support fabrication processes ensuring space-grade standards and industry best practices
- 6Define and verify harness acceptance criteria including electrical testing and inspection
- 7Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate harnesses into spacecraft
- 8Perform electrical design analysis to meet performance and reliability requirements
- 9Troubleshoot electrical issues during fabrication integration and testing phases
- 10Maintain documentation for harness systems throughout the product lifecycle
- 11Ensure compliance with aerospace industry standards and NASA specifications
Requirements11
- 1Bachelor's degree in aerospace mechanical or electrical engineering
- 25+ years of electrical engineering or avionics experience
- 3Proficiency in electrical engineering principles including power distribution signal integrity grounding communication systems
- 4Experience with harness design tools Capital Essentials NX and Teamcenter
- 5Familiarity with NASA-STD-8739.4 IPC/WHMA-A-620 and industry standards
- 6Experience with electrical testing including continuity insulation and functional testing
- 7Knowledge of thermal and mechanical considerations for harness routing
- 8Ability to manage requirements using tools like JAMA
- 9Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- 10Experience in dynamic environments with multiple priorities
- 11Eligibility for Top Secret Clearance
