What You'll Do8
- 1Fabricate wiring harnesses for spacecraft and ground support systems using NASA-STD-8739.4 standards.
- 2Build and terminate harnesses for racks, boxes, and spacecraft installations with hand tools and specialized equipment.
- 3Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings to ensure accurate assembly.
- 4Troubleshoot and repair electronic components to maintain mission-ready hardware.
- 5Maintain high standards of workmanship, quality, and documentation in line with FOD prevention and tool control procedures.
- 6Collaborate with team leads and supervisors to meet production schedules and identify potential issues.
- 7Support cross-training and mentoring of new team members in assembly techniques.
- 8Complete work documentation using computer-based systems, including Microsoft Office applications.
Requirements8
- 14+ years of experience as a technician in aerospace or high-reliability industry.
- 2Current certification to J-STD-001 Space and NASA-STD-8739.4.
- 3Ability to pass soldering and crimping assessments.
- 4Experience using hand tools for assembly, repair, and troubleshooting.
- 5Proficiency in reading schematics, harness wiring diagrams, layout drawings, and parts lists.
- 6Experience working in a clean room environment with PPE compliance.
- 7Understanding of good housekeeping practices, tool control, and FOD awareness.
- 8Proficiency with computer applications for production documentation, such as Microsoft Office.
