Overview
Sandwich Artist and Cashier at Au Bon Pain in Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis. Own order assembly, cash handling, and station restocking in a high-volume cafe. Work with a close team serving hospital staff and visitors. This role offers weekly pay, paid training, and 401K with flexible shifts from 6AM to 10:45PM.
What You'll Do8
- 1Build sandwiches, wraps, salads, and protein bowls to ABP standards with precision and speed.
- 2Operate the POS system to ring orders, process cash and card payments, and make change accurately.
- 3Maintain and stock the station, ensuring food safety and sanitation per cafe guidelines.
- 4Clean surfaces, sweep floors, and properly cover and store food items.
- 5Handle special orders for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
- 6Balance the cash drawer at shift start and end, and follow all cash procedures.
- 7Suggest additional products to customers and invite them to return.
- 8Model customer service for new staff and assist with on-the-job training for baristas and cashiers.
Requirements9
- 11+ year of cashier, sandwich artist, or customer service experience preferred.
- 2Understand safe food handling principles and sanitation standards.
- 3Perform at an efficient pace with attention to detail.
- 4Work flexible shifts including early mornings and evenings.
- 5Handle cash, make change, and use a POS system.
- 6Communicate clearly and listen actively to customers and team members.
- 7Prioritize tasks with minimal supervision and adapt to changes.
- 8Work collaboratively in a diverse team environment.
- 9Fully vaccinated with documentation or an approved medical or religious exemption.
